Bluetooth Earphone Mode and Own Voice Cancellation are now available for Kite
New Features Available for Kite
Kite firmware version 2.0 is now available for both new and existing users.
Today’s release contains two new major features: Bluetooth Earphone Mode and Own Voice Cancellation.
Bluetooth Earphone Mode
Bluetooth Earphone Mode lets you wirelessly stream audio to Kite for 12 hours per charge.
Kite as an audio playback device opens a realm of possibilities:
- Hear music the way it should sound
- Stream entertainment and phone calls directly from your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone (both iOS and Android)
Sounds are personalized based on your unique hearing profile to make them more clear and easy to hear.
Own Voice Cancellation
Own Voice Cancellation automatically detects when the wearer is talking and cancels the wearer’s own voice.
Since hearing devices amplify the wearer’s own voice, and since the wearer’s mouth is relatively close to the microphones, some users may feel that the sound of their own voice is too loud.
Own Voice Cancellation was designed to tackle this and offer a more comfortable listening experience.
Own Voice Cancellation is an optional feature and can be toggled on/off by short pressing the power button. It can also be toggled via the Yinbei app.
Experience Firmware Version 2.0
Existing users can access the new features by following this guide to complete an Over-the-Air (OTA) update.
To fully enjoy the new features, we recommend that you also install the latest version of the Yinbei app through your preferred app store.
Besides the new Bluetooth Earphone Mode and Own Voice Cancellation, firmware version 2.0 is also packed with other improvements:
- Improved the hearing test instructions
- Various bug fixes and performance enhancements
