Yinbei Privacy Policy

Incus Company Limited (Incus) built the built the Yinbei app (“this app”) as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by Incus and is intended for use as is, and we do not guarantee that it will be upgraded.

The Privacy Policy is for anyone who will use this service to understand how we collect, use and protect your personal information. If you choose this service, you need to agree with all terms hereunder and register for the Yinbei app.

After registering for the Yinbei app, you will get access to the personalized value-added service hereunder. This app can test your hearing through the information provided by you, set your hearing assistance parameters, and use them to set up and manage the successfully paired hearing assistance equipment so as to achieve the best hearing assistance effect in different scenarios, e.g.: Personalized settings optimized for indoors, outdoors and dinner scenarios.

If you refuse to register for and use this app, it will not affect the normal use of the hearing assistance function of the products you purchased from, but you will not enjoy the personalized setting service, hearing assistance device quality improvement service and other value-added services hereunder.

We will not share your personal information with any individuals or organizations other than those mentioned hereunder without your consent. Terms of this agreement have the same meaning as Yinbei’s User Agreement, unless otherwise defined in this agreement.

We will adopt strict measures for the protection and use your personal information and strictly abide by relevant laws, regulations and policies on personal information protection in the country or region where this service is provided.

Collection, Use and Protection of Personal Information

We will collect your personal information during app registration, and on pages with this app where personal information is requested. When you register for this app, you will be asked to review this Privacy Policy. Please select “Agree” if you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and “Do not agree” if you disagree. With your consent, we need to collect your personal information such as phone number, district, city and province, username (nickname) and hearing health condition. You have the right to decide whether to provide the aforesaid personal information in whole or in part.

Bluetooth and Location Permissions:

Yinbei uses the Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) protocol to detect and connect to Incus hearing devices nearby when the app is in use, including when the app is running in the background. We use the Bluetooth LE protocol to send commands and settings to your Incus hearing device, such as your hearing profile and switching between modes. Because some settings can also be changed by operating the physical buttons on your Incus hearing device, we continue to use this protocol even when the app is running in the background to keep them synchronised, send alerts about low battery levels, and provide a better user experience.

Bluetooth LE could be used to find your location, although we do not use Bluetooth LE for this purpose. Therefore, some app functions require Bluetooth and Location Permissions. We will not collect or transmit information about your location.

Special note: The personalized hearing assistance setting service hereunder must be calculated, provided and analyzed according to data about your hearing condition. Therefore, you must provide sensitive information about your hearing condition before using the aforesaid service. When prompted, select “Agree” if you agree and “Do not agree” if you disagree. We will adopt encryption and de-identification and other security technology measures to strictly protect your sensitive information and adopt relevant protective measures according to laws, regulations and this Agreement.

Our promise: We undertake not to collect your personal information in any form without your consent.

We collect your personal information only for account registration, login, account identification, Bluetooth connection, acquisition and update of user data, provision of services, upgrade of product experience, improvement of service quality and grouping according to region, age groups, etc., as well as provision of special service based on this. The following services will be provided: Calculation of your hearing profile, automatic setting of your hearing assistance program settings, after-sales service, return visit to user experience, satisfaction survey, suggestion and problem feedback.

Incus solemnly undertakes to protect and use personal information according to the principles of legality, reasonability, righteousness, necessity and integrity. We, according to handling purpose, handling method and type of personal information as well as influence and potential safety risk on personal rights and interests, will adopt the following measures to protect your personal information, including without limitation:

Formulate internal management system and operation specification, carry out classified management of personal information, adopt safety technical measures such as encryption and de-identification, reasonably identify the authority to handle personal information, formulate contingency plans for personal information safety events, and adopts other measures specified by laws and administrative regulations.

Account Cancellation and Handling of Personal Information after Cancellation

Your account cannot be restored after it is cancelled. After your account is cancelled, you will be unable to login and use this service and read related information by it. Please carefully consider before cancellation.

We provide you with online cancellation function in our official channels (e.g.: Cancellation path within the Yinbei app: About-Help and Feedback-Account Cancellation), and you may cancel your account online according to operating instructions provided. After you cancel your account and withdraw your agreement to the Privacy Policy, we undertake not to collect and use your personal information, unless otherwise specified by laws, regulations, rules and policies.

If you are unable to manage account cancellation or withdrawal from the Privacy Policy online or in the app, please contact our customer service staffs. We undertake to check and handle your problems within 15 working days. Customer service hotline:

Third-Party Services

The Privacy Policy does not cover services where third parties may collect information and identify your personal information. Please thoroughly review and understand third-party privacy policies before deciding whether to accept the services thereof. Incus does not assume any responsibility therewith.

Tencent bugly SDK

When you use this service, the third-party Tencent bugly SDK may collect your device information and network information so as to monitor APP stability and track crash problems.

Alibaba Mobile Data Analysis SDK

When you use this service, third-party Alibaba Mobile Data Analysis SDK may collect your device information, network information and app user operation record so as to provide user behavior data, facilitate acquisition and visualized analysis of APP operation data, help the Company with analysis and decision-making and realize better value-added service.

Information Collection and Use

If an error occurs when you use this service, we will collect related information and data from your mobile phone to solve errors. Such information and data are called a “log”. Data in the log may include, but is not limited to:

Your phone’s IP address, device name, operating system version, application configuration when an error occurs and duration and data of your use of this service. We will adopt strict protective measures to protect your personal information and handle your information according to the principle of legality, reasonability, righteousness, necessity and integrity.
